Brace for impact! Here comes the Boom!

Drew Syron today using his trump-card attack, the Hylex Cannon.

Syron the Fox is my character that has the ability to fire sonic booms and sound/based compression waves using Hyperresonance (science lol) though the 4 giant crystals that float behind him at all times (the Hylex Crystals). He's Meta-neurally connected to them, so they serve as an extension to his body. Here,'s charged up a huge shockwave and is in mid-deployment.

Like. a. bawss!

well anyway, really tried to focus on this one. Rather than using the effects to serve as a primary focal point (although heavily used), I did spend quite a lot of time shading the details of Syron himself. Those metal shoe reflections were fun :D

Done in a Livestream for about 7 Hours (due to all the distracting people who wouldnt stop pinging me on skype, YES I MEAN YOU EMAYAI *trololol*)

Enjoy

Seeing as you wanted some critique, and that no one has yet to critique this--I decided to go on and critique this. :)

First off, he appears to be sliding down something, like a slope. If he's simply standing, then the placement of his left foot is a bit off. When in a battle stance, one's feet should be firm against the ground, not kinda sliding down. Then again, he's probably sliding down a slope, so ignore this part. :P

The way his right leg goes into his boot is odd. It looks plumpy, like his boots are too tight. That circle thing on his right boot is just BIG. Outrageously so. Maybe it's simply suppose to be that way, but it looks so strikingly large.

I would also point out his missing right arm, but it's probably hiding behind his spines, or maybe I missed it. Oh wait, I see it. That's a strange position for his arm to be in, for it to be in a downward, limp position. Maybe his right arm should be upwards, palm open.

If this is the case of Syron sliding down something, then the bangs on his forehead should have flowing movement--pushed back by the flow. And where are the rest of his teeth? His mouth is open enough, so his teeth should be visible. And being a fan of expressions, his ears ought to be folded down according to his expression, which seems to be anger or 'TAKE THIS' (pride? excitement?). And is Syron's tail normally that long?

And the yellow bolts around the picture, they just don't seem to fit. Syron's powers involve the colors blue and purple, and that yellow just makes it look strange and out of place.

I love the anatomy and perspective you've got going on here. It's fantastic, especially how the shards' perspective is.

Overall, the coloring and artwork is impressive, but the errors can be stinging.

I just love the lighting effects on this pic, AMAZING!
the cristles in the back are very good I love the color sceam of it all and the electrice look is also nice
the best part of this pic is the stance of the character, very powerfull and strong well done
the shoes look amazing aswell and they has a very futureistic feel to them
I like how his quills/fur look like there cristleizing very cool
all in all the pic is VERY well done and I love the consept
if I had to make a bad point it would be the hand looks alittle to small, I feel it should be closer to the viewer
a bigger hand would have given the pic a more dinamic feel
but thats a nitpic and other then that the pic is GREAT :icongreatjobplz:

Question... I was making a little test project of something... a fan work of a game that no longer appears to run, so I was wondering if I could use some of your art? Does this rule cover the actual art in addition to the character itself?

Fantastic! I'm just sad that my well... sort of a tribute or gift (I suck far to much to really do anything justice though...) is so modest... and it doesn't help that I can't find a few pictures I could have sworn you'd made.

Didn't you make a picture of Faulkner on a morning stroll? and I can't find anything of Cassira with your current quality level... ah well, I'll watch for them.

Thanks by the way. It means a lot.

I thought that pic was good... and I can't use the references, unfortunately. I'm making bloodie cards!

Cards for a game that to my knowledge no longer exists, so no harm no foul. Not like I plan on selling these things... hmmm... I should make some attack cards as well, maybe some battlegear, but I know I'll never find the material for the locations.

Don't worry, I do credit everyone, hell, ask nancher, I made a story of using his character Tibleam. And as for bad, don't worry, as long as I know his personality and all that, nothing will go wrong.
